Returns & Warranty Policy

At GadgetNest, we’re committed to providing quality products and reliable customer service. Please read our Returns & Warranty Policy carefully to understand your rights and responsibilities when purchasing from us.
1. Change of Mind / Incorrect Purchase
If you ordered the wrong item or changed your mind, we offer exchanges within 14 days of delivery, provided:
The item is unopened, unused, and in its original packaging.
You notify us within 14 days of delivery.
Return shipping is your responsibility.
A 20% restocking fee applies if a refund is issued (to cover handling and payment processing).
Exclusions:
Bulk orders (10 units or more) are not eligible for change-of-mind returns.
Returns without prior approval will be rejected.
Shipping fees are non-refundable.
If you request redelivery:
$7 fee for urban NZ areas
$12 fee for rural NZ areas
(Or you may supply your own prepaid courier bag.)
If the returned item reduces your order value below the free shipping threshold, the original shipping fee will be deducted from your refund.
2. Incorrect Items Supplied
If you received the wrong item, we will:
Replace it with the correct product (if available), or
Offer a refund/store credit once the incorrect item is returned.
Requirements:
Notify us within 15 days of delivery.
Item must be in unused, resaleable condition.
Use the return courier ticket we provide.
You may be asked to submit a photo or video as proof.
3. Damaged in Transit
If your item was damaged during delivery:
Contact us within 48 hours of delivery.
Provide photos/videos of the damage and retain original packaging.
We will offer a replacement (if in stock) or issue a credit/refund.
In some cases, we may require the product to be returned for inspection or evidence purposes. This will be determined on a case-by-case basis. If a return is required, GadgetNest will cover all associated return shipping costs.
4. Lost in Transit
If your parcel was lost:
We will send a replacement (if available) or refund your purchase.
You must initiate a claim with NZ Post and provide us with the claim number. NZ Post Claim Form
5. Faulty Products
If your item is faulty on arrival or fails under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993, we will:
Repair or replace the product, or
Issue a store credit or refund after inspection.
The product must be returned for evaluation before we can proceed. Refunds for shipping are only given if the product is confirmed as faulty.
6. Pre-Orders
By placing a pre-order, you agree to the following:
Full payment is required upfront.
Estimated delivery dates may change; we will keep you updated.
Cancelling a pre-order before dispatch will incur a 5% cancellation fee.
If a pre-order item becomes unavailable, you will receive a full refund.
7. Warranty Exclusions
Your product is not covered under warranty if:
(A) Incompatible Accessories
Damage from use with non-GadgetNest accessories is not covered.
Examples:
Incompatible chargers
Non-GadgetNest screen protectors or cases
Misused power banks
(B) Software Issues
Problems caused by operating system updates or third-party software are excluded.
(C) Misuse or Accidental Damage
Damage due to drops, spills, exposure to elements, or incorrect installation is not covered.
(D) Ignoring Instructions
Issues due to failure to follow instructions or warnings are not eligible for refund or replacement.
(E) Color/Packaging Variations
Slight differences in product color or packaging do not qualify for returns.
(F) Delivery Issues
We are not liable for:
Delays caused by couriers
Incorrect shipping addresses
Parcels left unattended or stolen after delivery
(G) Third-Party Modifications
Warranty is void if the product is altered or repaired by a third party.
